About The Artist

Hello and thank you for visiting my art pages. I really hope that you enjoy scrolling through.

I have been creating art ever since I can remember. I attended art school as a child between the ages of 7 and 13. Sadly, I have not been very active as an artist for the majority of my life, but I have decided to pick up a brush again at the beginning of 2023.

I live and create in East Sussex taking inspiration from anything around me, I especially see a lot of beauty in nature and enjoy pouring that inspiration out on canvas in my own way. My preferred painting medium is acrylic paint on canvas or board, however in my artistic journey I am always open to discovering new ways to create and am looking forward to seeing where this will take me.

I am a member of Crowborough Art Society (Sussex) and Royal Tunbridge Wells Art Society (Kent).

About The Artist

I am an artist based near Brighton on the Sussex Coast of England. I have been interested in art as a hobby since a child, but only recently got back in touch with my creative side, after concentrating on bringing up my now adult children. I have an Art And Design Diploma and a National Diploma in Graphic Design, which I completed at college in 1993.

I love to create, using mainly acrylic paint with different mediums. I use various techniques and styles to achieve each individual piece of art. I have recently discovered Fluid Art and I like to combine this technique with graphic design.

My inspiration comes from the natural world, music, people and past and present artists. One of my favourite artists is Pablo Picasso. My work includes, landscapes, seascapes, floral designs, Portraits and abstract art.

I have an Etsy shop, Facebook and Instagram page, which are all under the name of West Art And Design.

About The Artist

West Sussex-based artist Sheri Gee has been developing her art practice over the last 20 years, after graduating from the Kent Institute of Art and Design with a Degree in Illustration.

Much of her work is rooted in the figurative and portraiture, having spent many years experimenting with different materials and mediums at life-drawing sessions.

She was one of 21 finalists in the 2018 Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize; has been longlisted in the Jackson's Art Open Prize and has exhibited with the Society of Women Artists and the Chelsea Art Society. Sheri also exhibits with several local art groups.
