About The Artist

Hello, I'm Sam Taylor. I'd like to start off by thanking you for taking a peek at my artwork.

Living in Seaford, East Sussex, I have Cerebral Palsy and am a wheelchair user. My degree in Digital Media has enabled me to find my growing passion in Digital Art and Photography.

I find joy and satisfaction in taking a standard photograph and turning it into an explosion of enhancement, style and colour. I use a variety of different digitalised effects to create my pieces of art.

About The Artist

I’m an amateur artist living in West Berkshire.

I take my inspiration mainly from rural and coastal landscapes and the trans formative effects that seasonal and meteorological change have on these.

I have a particular fascination with human intervention on the landscape and the resulting tension between permanence and impermanence: ancient monuments and architectural ruins being a favourite theme. I am intrigued by the way these become absorbed into the surrounding environment over time, while maintaining some presence of their own.

I try to reflect this in the scale of the landscapes I paint and through the relationship between land and sky.

I work mainly in acrylics because I like the immediacy of the medium. I am a keen walker and always have my camera to hand for taking reference photographs, particularly in ‘interesting’ weather!

On the horizon, is the Bembridge coastline of the Isle of Wight disappearing into the orange glow. My aim with this piece, was to capture the intense colours of the backlit cloud and reflections on the wet sand of this deserted West Sussex beach.

About The Artist

A self taught artist, Glen has painted and drawn from an early age. He has gained inspiration from the natural landscape; wide open spaces, coast, moorlands and the Downs. Glen enjoys sketching and painting places which he visited as a child and more recently with his own family.

Working mainly in acrylics, Glen seeks to capture atmosphere, mood and light in his paintings. His style is meticulously detailed and this is achieved through a combination of accurate drawing skills, followed by overpainting using pallet knife work and base colours to influence the layers above.
