About The Artist

Tom Gillings has been a successful graphic designer and art director for over 30 years, with major national brands and international clients.

He has lived at the coast since 2004 and works at home in his garden studio. His recent collection is inspired by the unspoilt beaches of the Chichester area and the stunning natural beauty of the South Downs National Park.

About The Artist

I’m an artist based in Billingshurst West Sussex working mainly in oils and acrylics. Currently part time but due to go full time in near future.

I have found painting to be a wonderful relief from the day to day pressures we all face.
My inspiration comes from a variety of areas and artists, but becoming more fascinated with wild, expansive sky’s and the amazing things that can be seen if you just look up.

From storms over the ocean to calm, spring mornings, I am endeavouring to capture this on canvas.

I also enjoy portraiture of musical icons such as Hendrix and Miles Davis, using only black and white which I find captures the mood from their eras.
