Sadly Noel Haring passed away in August 2008. As a memory of his talent, his excellent work (both original paintings and limited edition fine art prints), continue to be available for sale. Please contact us using the email address above.
Having graduated in Design from The Royal College of Art in 1957, Noël Haring started his own industrial and graphic design business. He saw a turning point in his artistic career when a friend introduced him to working in watercolour.
Noël Haring has exhibited at The Royal Watercolour Society Summer Exhibition since 1992 and all major exhibitions at the Mall Galleries (Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, Royal Society of Portrait, Royal Society of Marine) including the most prestigious one: The Singer & Friedlander /Sunday Times Watercolour Competition.
In 1997, HRH The Prince of Wales selected all the paintings Noël submitted for The Discerning Eye Exhibition.
In 2000 Noël Haring was a prize winner at the Singer & Friedlander/ Sunday Times competition, with his picture “Classic Car in Havana”. His meticulously observed watercolour of a dilapidated colonial-style building bathed in brilliant sunlight, with a well-preserved old banger parked on a road outside, is a considerable achievement, not least because it gives not a hint of how complicated it was to get it to look natural” wrote Dr Frank Whitford Art Editor of Sunday Times.
In November 2005, a new Prize Exhibition organised by the Lynn Foundation together with the Painter-Stainers Company gave Noël opportunity to once again show his talent. His picture “Morning in Brighton” was one of the 12 selected watercolours among the 53 works of mix media accepted out of more than 700 pictures submitted.
For a number of years, until its closure, Noël Haring was regularly exhibiting at The Gallery in Virginia Water where he held, in 2002, a very successful One Man Show about his work on Havana.

"Dear Chris,
We are delighted with our art website. In addition to all the items we requested, you have added many artistic details that really enhanced the site.
We would also like to thank you for your patience, explaining and talking us through all the concepts we did not understand.
It has also been reassuring knowing that you are on the end of the phone ready to answer our queries as they arise.
It has been a pleasure working with you.
Best regards."
"This is the second website that Chris and Colette from Surrey Artists have designed for me and I am delighted with the result. They put in an amazing amount of work collating a large amount of detail to ensure my paintings are professionally displayed.
The finished website has already attracted a large number of serious enquiries some of which have been converted"

“This is a one-off drawing of ‘The Lifeboat’ where I live in Selsey. It has been a landmark in Selsey for generations. In 2015, there were talks of taking down this scenery and replacing it with something else. In commemoration for this beautiful scene, I took my own original photograph and drew it on A1 canvas. It was a long project, but will be a beautiful memory in the event ‘The Lifeboat’ is replaced or altered.”

My drawings are all done using graphite and on occasion, biro, to give a bold effect to fine art drawings. I take portraiture requests and charge £50.00 per drawing including any postage and packaging within the UK. I have found that my customers are very pleased with the end result and a portrait makes a perfect gift.
If you wish to request a portrait of a loved one or celebrity, please contact me via email or via my Facebook page. Simply attach the photo you would like for me to draw and request size A2 or A3 card for your picture. Once I have finished the portrait, I will email a photo of the drawing for your approval. No drawing will be sent or money transaction made until you are happy with the final product.

I draw the inner life – the invisible world of dreams, feelings and inner experiences. Some of my images come to me in dreams and others appear in waking life. My artwork is about inner listening and perceiving and giving form to fleeting images, which seem to belong to the life of a mysterious, invisible reality which I cannot express with ordinary language. My art images tell the story of my inner journey and for me, form a bridge between the inner world and the outer world.
I use watercolour pencils, soft pastels and ink to give form to the ‘unseen‘ and occasionally clay. Since Summer 2012, I have been using new media for my art and images: Sea shells and small pebbles, which I collect from Worthing beach and the banks of the River Adur in Shoreham-by-Sea.
If you have any questions about the images displayed in the galleries or would like more information about the artwork for sale or about my work in general, please contact me.
My painted shells and some of my small framed pictures are displayed at the Shoreham Gallery and at Inspired by the Sea shop (near Worthing Pier) all year round. I regularly take part in local exhibitions and arts events. You can find details of current and future arts events on my Website.
I am a member of the West Sussex Art Society and the Shoreham Gallery.
