Acrylic Landscape Artist inspired by the Downs and the coastline
I am a landscape artist working mainly in acrylics with a particular interest in urban landscapes and the built environment.
As an architect I have had a lifetime interest in buildings and I am particularly interested in minimalist, graphic images of buildings and landscapes.
Since moving to Brighton several years ago I have also been inspired by the beautiful landscapes of the South Downs and the coastal areas.
I particularly admire the works of John and Paul Nash, Anthony Caro, David Hockney, the American artist Charles Sheeler, a member of the Precisionist School of painters and Maurice Wade an artist from the midlands who painted minimalist images particularly of canals and their surroundings.

Graphic Designer, Artist and Art Tutor
Ink and Bleach, Watercolour, Mixed Media
I am a local artist, based in Eastbourne – art has always been an intrinsic part of my life. I originally went to Eastbourne Art College, to study Graphic Design. I completed my studies at degree level and continue to have a successful commercial career.
Over the last few years, I’ve made time to enjoy experimenting more with different media and discovered ink and bleach. I love the energy and unpredictability of using two colours of ink and achieving many more when the bleach works its magic! I sometimes like to include black fine liner and gold acrylic details when I need more detail or highlights. I find constant inspiration from my surrounding views of the South Downs and local coastline.
Exhibitions
I regularly sell my work in a couple of local galleries and over the last 6 years, I have exhibited in various art fairs. I am enjoying exploring the medium of ink and bleach and I am excited about where it will take me next...
