I am a self-taught hobby artist and have drawn, painted and illustrated since my teens.
I an now retired from a working life as an architectural draughtsman and am able to devote more time to my art.
I do not currently belong to any local art group but exhibit in a local coffee shop and pub.
In 2022 I was one of three local artists invited to show my seascapes at ‘The Sea, The Sea’
Exhibition at the Stables Theatre Art Gallery in Hastings.

I have no formal training, but have painted and sketched from an early age, inspired by my late mum. I have recently given up work to concentrate on what I love; my art and my puppy.
I sold my first painting when I was 18 which was a Berber tribesman to a lady in Zambia. I have sold quite a few paintings since 1978, from miniatures, to a stage backdrop. I paint mostly in oil or acrylic and will attempt any subject, although I enjoy doing portraits and pet portraits.

I have just recently re-joined the Newhaven Art Club.

I have always drawn and painted for as long as I can remember.
I trained as a graphic designer and worked for twenty years, designing websites, album covers and every kind of design. I especially enjoyed creating photo montages in Photoshop. I have also taught adult education, teaching Adobe Photoshop and on a BTEC graphic design course and then on an animation degree programme at Sussex Coast College.
After this, I retrained to become a primary school teacher.
During lockdown, I rediscovered my love of art and started watercolour painting. I discovered I absolutely loved working in this medium and since then have gone on to complete a variety of commissions.
Most of my commissions have been buildings in and around the town of Battle, where I live. I also really enjoy painting landscapes and especially skies.
I also won an artist of the year award from the Society of All Artists (SAA).
I'm a member of Battle and Distict Arts Group.
