With no formal art qualifications and largely self taught, I started printmaking in 2013 after a career in teaching and as a Board Room executive.
I divide my time between Rye, East Sussex and Tuscany, where I have a second home. It is from these locations that I draw inspiration and this can start with a thought, a concept, a memory or something that catches my eye. Many of my stylised landscapes reflect my love of the Tuscan countryside.
I experiment with different forms, subjects and techniques and this makes my work very varied which I think reflects my energy and the fact that I am interested in everything. I do not wish to capture the literal likeness of reality but rather the essence of the subject.
I produce only a small number of original serigraphs ( prints ) for each edition; there are rarely more than 6 and sometimes just one. My imagination is too energetic to spend time on long print runs and I think this limited number makes my work even more collectible.

A digital fountain in Chicago dwarfs the people who enjoy it.
In keeping with the playful image, the digital face printed in colour, is more real than the shadowy, but real figures around it.
