About The Artist
John studied at ‘Bradford Regional College of Art’ where after a pre diploma year he went on to study and then work in the field of exhibition and interior design.
After a successful career as a designer he has returned to one of his first loves painting. The detailed architectural presentations that are one of the necessities of a professional designer are reflected in his work as an artist.

John works mostly in watercolour with subjects ranging from landscapes of his native Yorkshire and his adopted county Surrey, to London scenes and steam railways.

His work can be regularly seen in the ‘Room for Art’ gallery in Chobham, and other Surrey and London exhibitions.

Wilsden Station was on the outskirts of Harecroft and although the railway closed in 1964 the course of the old track has been redeveloped as the Great Northern Railway Trail for walking, cycling and horse riding.
