About The Artist
I have always painted portraits, but decided to study Social Anthropology at university. Graduating in 2004 I then decided to return to my artistic roots and take up painting professionally, rather than further my academic studies. Anthropology is a subject that will always guide the way I look at art and life.

Since then I have worked and exhibited as a portrait painter in East Sussex, Surrey and now Tunbridge Wells. I find painting in oils the most expressive medium for portraiture, which is my main source of inspiration and motivation. However, I do take an interest in and enjoy painting a broad range of subjects and appreciate all sorts of painting styles.
